Come join the fun and play Cowboy/Cowgirl for the weekend.
2016 MSP World Champion Matthew L Jobe from Missouri will be at Coyote Creek presenting a 2 day clinic. Matt gave several sold out clinics here last year.
During our Thursday HORSEMANSHIP we will begin with groundwork then mounted softness in the bridle, collection and control of each body part, pivots, sidepass, backing, loping and leads. This clinic will help you and your horse in any type of riding you do including preparing for the cattle work Sunday. Riders will need a rope halter, snaffle bit and regular tack. Bring your own lunch or have lunch on town 5 minutes away.
On Friday, INTRODUCTION TO CATTLE will begin and end with a 3 mile trail ride to cattle pastures with cows and calves. We will begin by settling the herd and learning how to move cattle any direction followed by pasture sorting and a cattle drive from one large rugged pasture to another. Pack your own drinks, lunch, halter and lead rope for lunch in the pasture.
Overnight stalls, electric hookups and one overnight room (with hot tub) are available. Saturday Spectators $10 (no spectator area available on Sunday). Rider fee for the 2 day clinic is $300 (this includes cattle fee). $150 deposit will reserve your spot. The remaining balance due May 1. If you are unable to attend you may sell your spot to another person. Refunds only given if clinic is cancelled. PRIVATE MESSAGE Coyote Creek to RSVP as a rider (I don't always get notifications from post comments).
