Deer Grove was the first preserve acquired by the Forest Preserves of Cook County. Since 1916, it has grown to 1,800 acres that include  Deer Grove Lake and a vast, looping trail system makes it easy to access the preserve’s diverse habitats.

Trail closures

All horses must wear a horse tag  affixed to the left-hand side of the bridle or the saddle and be clearly visible when on Forest Preserves trails. Day pass $5.
