Springbrook Prairie's 9 miles of trails are a hub of activity while also being a nature lover's paradise. This park is a great place to desensitize a horse with trails passing near model airplane and drone flying fields, an off-leash fenced dog park, and multi-use trails for pedestrian and bicycle training. But still gets you in touch with the best wild things in Illinois including the Springbrook Land and Water Preserve and the Springbrook Marsh containing both wet and dry native prairie for all season flora beauty. The park also contains large swaths of critical nesting habitat for endangered and threatened bird species for one of a kind bird watching, all from the convenience of horse back.
Year round for limestone trails. Some of the grass trail segments may be closed seasonally to protect critical bird-nesting areas.
